Women’s Work - Home Design
Problem:
Client, a female serial entrepreneur, studied and loved the practical and aesthetic impact of home organization and interior design. From her inspiration, we crafted and launched a new startup.
Solution:
After finding the right name for the new company, we shaped all the fundamentals and launched first advertising in five week’s time. We shaped service offerings and pricing, client onboarding and service experience, client contract and terms, licensing, bank accounts, software for scheduling, accounting, merchant processing, marketing, website design and launch, branding flavors and tone, logo, revenue models, budgets, social media platforms and funnels, and first advertisements.
Result:
The company, birthed of passion, discipline and grit, proved a hit with local markets. Shortly after launching initial advertising campaigns, it quickly booked full with growing clientele and referrals. With an eye for expansion of adjacent services and market need, as well as continued fostering of the marketing pipeline, business continues to grow at roughly 20% revenue.
An Artist’s Journey
Problem:
This professional artist wanted the IRS off his back and needed back taxes filed for the last five years. He targeted identifying his profit margin and expanding sales channels, but felt overwhelm and shame at the challenges.
Solution:
I built an accounting system summarizing years of financials and referred him to a tax accountant for the formal filings. We analyzed cost ratios, pricing margins, and cash flow, so he could clarify sales goals, adjust pricing, and target higher profit margin works. We implemented an inventory system and built a virtual gallery for online sales, then hired a social media manager to feed online branding content and humanize his art creation process, giving clients a heartfelt connection to the artist and the pieces they love.
Result:
He’s relieved at resolving his IRS disputes, confidently aware of his monthly overhead, cash flow position, and sales targets. I’ve challenged and guided him to listen to his heart, dedicate to his goals, and positively adapt to obstacles rising as course corrections. After launching a luminary work in Meow Wolf and expanding to several additional notable galleries, he’s expanding his brand with the support of his native courage and enthusiasm.
Problem:
Client felt avoidance and dread regarding his chaotic finances and the IRS. He wanted approachable help resolving his taxes, and less stress from disorganized business practices. He also had a lot of finance questions and found traditional accountants intimidating and judgmental.
Solution:
I set up an accounting system and summarized years of financials, referred a tax account for the filings, and restructured his personal/professional financial tracking processes. I offered patient clear explanations for building his credit profile, reducing his tax burden, and tracking his client base demographics. He expanded to offering retail products, so we set up an inventory, POS and payment system.
Result:
He felt relief in resolving the burden of the IRS shadow, confidence in seeing his monthly expenses and clarity of revenue, and excitement at opening a new sales channel with the confidence of having all the complicated compliance expertly handled.
Acupuncture Expansion
Financial Analysis & Non-profit Investor Reporting
Problem:
This client, running five locations of professional medical services, kicked off a social impact non-profit funding docuseries elevating the experiences of marginalized minorities. From the launch of the organization, this client sought financial analysis and crafted financial investor reports.
Solution:
I launched annual financial analysis of the non-profit, starting with general ledger structure, offering financial ratio evaluations, and a composed annual investor report structure revised and updated each year for adaption to organization development and targeted social impact.
Result:
The non-profit, managing over $18M in assets, funded several major Netflix hit documentaries illuminating the lives and experiences of incredible people of color, women, and lesser-heard stories, expanding general popular awareness of the obstacles and achievements of disadvantaged people accomplishing amazing achievements. Annual reports and mission clarity augmented investor confidence in the mission and efforts of the organization, and increased investment volume.
Cultivated Luxury Concierge
Problem:
This serial entrepreneur and professional bodyworker to ultra-high net worth clientele desired to create a luxury wellness concierge company, linking high-end clients to elite bodyworkers, trainers, herbalists, yoga instructors, and targeted wellness practitioners.
Solution:
Identifying the core priority of structuring a scheduling software linking multiple providers (and their calendars) to clientele, we crafted this operational flow, merchant processing structure, provider requirements and onboarding standards, automation of calendar/text/email reminders and CRM tracking, service sales analysis by product/provider, automating payment and accounting of providers, accounting systems to minimal management, and curating client experience step by step.
Result:
Client launched her concierge company in a 2-month period of effort, after drafting the website, structuring the back end, articulating clarity of provider and client communications, and automating the mass volume of operations leveraging software integrations. Her company operates at a 20% lower operational overhead of the nearest competition, providing her with higher profit margins and higher pay to her providers, both critical values to this particular client.
Therapy Evolution
Problem:
A professional therapist desired an automated system to free her time to run her business rather than manage it. She spent frustrating hours manually scheduling clients, tracking onboarding forms, and never knowing what she’d earned.
Solution:
We evaluated numerous scheduling and patient onboarding programs and implemented a system. We cleaned up and automated her form onboarding process, integrated scheduling into her website, and built an accounting system so she could file taxes, identify and invest her profits, and build a nest egg saving for a home.
Result:
She dialed in the efficiencies of her operations, giving her more time to focus on her practice, which clarified her desire to switch careers rather than expand her business. The clarity inspired her to design a new strategy and business plan, identifying realistic needed investment, effort, and resources, and she began planning a move to build a retreat in another country.
